Emergency Calling (Triple Zero 000) 

Nothing could be simpler with the IsatPhone 2 than calling the Australian Triple Zero “000” services (or 112; an emergency call is free of charge. Prepay users do not need a positive balance to make an emergency call ). In addition pressing your red, emergency button allows you to rapidly make a call to a recipient, or send an alert text message or email to one or more recipients.  For your convenience we also store the RFDS contacts in your phonebook. Also: Send a Free Text or SMS Message to an IsatPhone Pro via the free, smartphone app “Satway” (for iphone or for android) or using your e-mail application:-

Step 1: Open your email program; Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. and proceed as if you were sending a regular email.

Step 2: In the email address field; enter the IsatPhone Pro # ( Example: 87077642xxxx), the # will begin with 8707 and it will contain 12 digits.  Then add @message.inmarsat.com after the IsatPhone Pro number.

Step 3: Complete the text or SMS message in the body of the email, but remember you only have 160 characters.

Step 4: Send the message as you would send a regular email!

You may access your prepaid balance from the Handset of course but in addition you can find out from this website: https://gateway.inmarsat.com/Login/Login.aspx This may be handy if someone at home/base is looking out for you and can top up your SIM with us on your behalf. We can also set up online top up via credit card for you. You can still receive calls on your Isatphone with zero prepaid balance.
